The Bridge Between Precision and Passion
Matt Niiro has over 25 years of experience leading high-performance technical support teams in the technology sector. A resident of Mosca, Colorado, and a lifelong fly fisher, Matt has spent his career solving complex problems through data, structure, and a relentless commitment to excellence.
With Let it Fly - Fly Casting, Matt is applying those same principles to the hobby he loves.
The Vision
As a seasoned angler who has pursued everything from trout throughout Colorado to saltwater species in Honduras, Matt recognized a significant gap in the Denver market: a lack of year-round, technical training environments. He saw that while the fly fishing industry was evolving with incredible gear and technology, the methods for practice remained weather-dependent and fragmented.
Matt’s background in managing large-scale operations and technical support teams has provided him with a unique perspective on facility and operations management. He isn't just building a casting range; he is designing a "controlled environment" where every variable—from the ceiling clearance to the permanent indoor wet lanes—is optimized for skill acquisition and performance.
Building a Community
Beyond the technical specs, Matt is a believer in the "Third Space"—a place outside of work and home where community happens. As an avid gamer and hobbyist, he understands the value of a dedicated hub where enthusiasts can gather, share knowledge over a fly-tying vise, and "talk shop" in a welcoming atmosphere.
Matt’s goal for Let it Fly is simple: to provide Denver anglers with a world-class facility that matches their dedication to the sport, 365 days a year.
